Sweet Beau crossed to the rainbow bridge today. We didn’t have him for long, but are relieved to know that he passed the best possible way and experienced as much love as possible in the last few weeks. He was a tough old guy. We did not expect him to last a few days let alone a few weeks. He stuck in there and enjoyed his time at Dogtree Pines, especially enjoyed napping in the sunny garden . Beau had cancer, but boy could he eat. I prepared a meal of Costco rotisserie chicken, turkey dinner with gravy, sweet potatoes, and green beans for him, and then took him on a nice ride, where he stuck his head out the window and went crazy over all the smells. Thank you to the gals that called me and said “help, Beau needs you”! This is a perfect example of what we do. “We want no senior dog to die on a cold concrete floor” and we fulfilled our mission. The time we get is never enough but we’re glad Beau had the time that he had here at Dog tree Pines and we got to love him and unconditionally. Fly high, sweet Beau!!!
