Boy oh boy did I love this boy! He came to me at the age of 15. I fell in love and we bonded immediately. He was one of my “special ones”, my heart dog. He had a smile that brightened my day and a raspy bark that made me laugh. He had a lot of medical issues from years of neglect, including tick infestation, anemia & a UTI. Apparently he lived with some people in California and they both passed. He ended up out here in Arizona with a family member which I believe was a niece. She was not in the live right living situation to take care of him so pass him along to someone else who kept him in a dirt outdoor kennel outside of Tucson. Pilot friend Randy & I flew down to Marana Airport to pick him up. When I took him to the vet upon rescue, there were ticks crawling off of him in every direction at the vet office and up the walls. They had to clear the area where he was located. I’ve never seen anything like it, nor had they. He also had these large mysterious growths hanging all over him. We never figured out exactly what they were but it didn’t matter based on his age. My goal was to make him as happy as possible for as long as possible. He got sick fairly early on and I was determined to get him through it and show him some happy healthy times. We had him only three months, but they were good months where he had some great times and had an excess of love. It’s amazing how attached you can get to a dog in only three months, especially one as perfect and sweet as Bacca. I wish I had gotten a hold of him a few years ago but I am so grateful that I had the time that I did. We made it the best 3 months that we possible could for him. Thank you to Vicki Fein who alerted me of Bacca and arranged for me to get him. I love you BaccaLaccaChocolate and will miss this beautiful boy. Fly free sweet boy with the wind blowing on your smiling face!
